Every New Year from 1987-2003 I made between four and six New York City based postcard sized collages (x-acto knife, no photoshop) and reproduced about twenty of each image to give to friends and family. Created from existing postcards of places I’d been, shows I’d seen etc. It’s hard for me to believe that this one was for New Year’s eve 1999….25 years ago, gulp!
In 2003 I had a set of 12 printed in Italy. The second set came a year later.

A leaf within a leaf within a leaf - we only have one tree near us that really delivers! Identified as a Bradford Pear tree

and things change. Drawn to how this patched ‘67 Olds Delta 88 looked against its backdrop in both instances - taken months apart, I didn’t even notice it was the same spot but the background was morphing into something else (the one on the right was first)
